How I work

Below are some older slide shows and a video from a few years ago. I will be posting some newer stuff going forward as I get time, especially since my processes are changing. I have gotten better at digital art since these were done, and I'm also trying out new mediums, such as oils on paper/canvas.
The first slide image was done in 2018 digitally-only on my Wacom Cintiq (also see video below). The second two images were done in 2015, painted watercolors on paper, then later scanned into Photoshop.

This video is from August of 2017, when I was creating the 2018 Chicken Art Calendar. This hen was used in the May image called In The Barn. By this time I had acquired a lovely Wacom Cintiq 27QHD and could draw directly on the screen. I was getting a lot more proficient in Photoshop. As you can see, I changed my mind about the color of the hen, halfway through.

Art is never finished, only abandoned.
